Role Overview
- Position: Chemistry Qualified – Independent Contractor, Remote
- Commitment: Part time, ~20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Contribute to developing advanced AI systems in chemistry. Evaluate and improve AI-generated chemistry workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create and assess complex problems in chemistry across subdomains like organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, chemical reasoning, and domain relevance.
- Provide clear written feedback on chemistry problem sets, mechanisms, and solutions.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to iterate and improve model performance.
- Ensure academic rigor and scientific precision in all chemistry content used to train or evaluate AI systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must-Have Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry or a directly related field from a top university
- Deep subject-matter expertise across core areas of chemistry
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree completed in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe preferred
- Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is a plus
Engagement Details
- Competitive hourly rate: $65–$85 USD/hr
- Contract type: Independent contractor
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – adaptable working hours
- Payment: Daily payment via Stripe Connect
