Project Engineer (Transport) - for up to 24 months

Status: Maximum Term Full-Time (35 hours per week) for up to 24 months
Salary: From $108,098 per annum pro rata + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + 12% superannuation + leaseback vehicle or sustainability allowance
Purpose:
To efficiently and effectively deal with all matters relating to, or arising from traffic and transport issues, for the City of Randwick; particularly including assistance with the planning, development, and delivery of TfNSW funded sustainable transport projects; for up to 24 months.
About the role:
* Manage special traffic and transport projects across the entire project life (design development to construction).
* Investigate and propose solutions to issues related to roads, drainage and other Council owned assets.
* Undertake extensive communication with key Council stakeholders, including but not limited to other arms of Council's operations, contractors, public authorities and suppliers to negotiate for the best possible arrangements and outcomes for Council
* Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and Council policy requirements and standards in Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health & Safety
About you:
* Civil Engineering degree or equivalent extensive experience in civil design and project management
* Experience in scoping of projects, briefing and managing consultants
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in varying project phases.
* Understanding of Local Government policies and procedures
