**The Role**
The Apprenticeships Policy and Reform Branch is establishing new teams that will work together to deliver a Strategic Review of the Australian Apprenticeships System over the next eight months. The Review will help shape long-term policy for the Australian Apprenticeships System and contribute to the Government’s economic and social wellbeing objectives.
Expressions of interest are sought from high-performing, motivated staff to contribute to this exciting work program.
**Skills and Capabilities**
The **Research and Policy Team** will manage and coordinate the review, conduct desktop research and policy analysis, undertake procurement and contract management of specialist research, coordinate stakeholder consultations, perform Review secretariat functions, and author the Review report. We are seeking experienced Policy and Project Officers to fill a range of positions within this team.
The **Modelling Team** will engage with data, research and review findings to model and assess the effectiveness of current and potential apprenticeships policy interventions. The team will analyse program data and develop new modelling capabilities to improve evidence-based policy development and analysis. We are seeking experienced Economists, Data Scientists or Financial Modellers to fill a range of positions within this team.
We are looking for people with a broad range of skills and abilities. Maybe you have deep technical expertise regarding policy such as economics and data analysis, or a whole of government perspective on areas our work intersects with, or the ability to communicate complex ideas dynamically. Most importantly, you should want to work in a small, agile, fast-paced environment that is engaging and supportive.

- Prepare draft policy documentation for review by senior staff
- Draft replies to straightforward and less complex policy queries
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to policy development
