Reporting to the Group Finance Manager and dotted line to the CFO, this is a broad and dynamic role where you will lead financial reporting and provide commercial support to key stakeholders within the group.
More specifically, your key duties will include:
* Take ownership of month-end closing processes, including balance sheet, profit & loss, and corporate reporting.
* Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of finance journals and inputs.
* Provide insightful analysis and identify discrepancies in financial data.
* Manage a team of three to deliver timely and accurate accounting outcomes.
* Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
* Work closely with divisional controllers and business analysts to interpret and explain financial results.
* Review reconciliations and resolve variances or issues promptly.
* Support both internal and external audits.
CA/CPA qualified, you will be an ambitious and high-calibre candidate, likely taking your first step from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm or having prior industry experience within the retail sector or an ASX environment. You will have deep technical understanding combined with demonstrated commercial awareness and exceptional communication skills to interact, engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
