Working at CBRE

When you join CBRE you will have the support and resources of a global firm where an entrepreneurial mind-set is encouraged. You'll realise your potential with challenging work, fast-paced assignments, an environment of constant learning and commitment to results. To enable your success, we provide the best tools, training and leaders in the industry. Our collaborative culture is built on our RISE values and reflects the needs and perspectives of our clients and our people.

Our Global Workplace Solutions division (GWS) is comprised of the best and brightest industry professionals, at the forefront of innovation, and highly invested in the development and unique needs of our diverse employees and global clients.

The Opportunity

* The Senior People Business Partner, Pacific is a key strategic partner to the Pacific leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering People strategies that drive business performance across Australia and New Zealand.

* This role works closely with senior leaders to build organisational capability, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and enable a culture of accountability and high performance. It combines strategic foresight with practical execution to ensure the People agenda directly supports commercial outcomes.

* Leading one Employee Relations Specialist, the Senior People Business Partner provides direction and guidance on complex ER/IR matters while focusing on proactive initiatives that build leadership capability and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with senior leaders to design and deliver People strategies that enable business growth and operational excellence.

* Act as a trusted adviser on organisational design, succession planning, talent development, and leadership effectiveness.

* Drive workforce planning and talent initiatives that align with future business needs.

* Provide strategic oversight on complex ER/IR matters, partnering with Legal and Compliance to manage risk and ensure consistency across the region.

* Coach leaders to manage performance, drive engagement, and make sound, people-related decisions.

* Lead change management and workforce transitions to support evolving client and business requirements.

* Continuously review and simplify People processes to improve impact, efficiency, and commercial value.

* Influence business decisions through data, insight, and sound commercial judgment.

Our Ideal Candidate

* We're looking for a commercially minded People leader who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. Beyond experience, the right style and attitude will determine success — confidence, curiosity, and a genuine passion for helping the business and its people perform at their best.

* Proven business partnering experience — ideally 8–10 years in senior HR or People leadership roles across complex, multi-site operations.

* Strong grounding in both white- and blue-collar environments, with experience supporting award-based or shift-based workforces.

* Deep understanding of employment frameworks across Australia and New Zealand, with the ability to translate legislation into pragmatic business outcomes.

* Exceptional stakeholder management skills — credible, trusted, and able to influence at senior levels.

* Resilient and adaptable, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

* Commercially focused — someone who balances compliance with business performance and sees HR as a driver of growth, not a back-office function.

* Proven track record of impact — creating value through improved leadership capability, engagement, and operational effectiveness.

* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

What's in it for you?

* Long service and employee recognition awards

* Employee assistance program offering free, confidential counselling

* Volunteer days

* Collaborative approach to flexible working

* City centre head office, with many public transport options.

* Exposure to world-class facilities management services and opportunity to work with some of the industry's most talented performers.
