What's the role?
An opportunity to join the Financial Crime Legal team as an AML Advisory Lawyer / Senior Lawyer, providing expert legal advice on Australia's AML/CTF legislative framework. The role plays a key part in advising on AML/CTF obligations and reforms, supporting regulatory engagement, managing external legal advisers, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to manage financial crime risk.
What do I need?
* Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations, including designated services, customer due diligence, reporting obligations and transfers of value.
* Ability to interpret and navigate complex legislation and translate it into clear, practical advice.
* Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to effective risk management and governance.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage external counsel and support regulatory responses (AUSTRAC and other regulators).
