About the Role
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Credit Management Officer. As a key member of our arrears management team, you will play a vital role in helping customers return to financial health.
Your primary focus will be on implementing approved strategies to reduce delinquency and potential losses while ensuring fair and empathetic treatment of every customer. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve this goal.
As a Credit Management Officer, you will be responsible for assessing customer circumstances, recommending tailored solutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Requirements:
* Strong understanding of the banking and finance industry, particularly in credit and collections.
* Experience handling inbound and outbound customer calls and comfort working towards KPIs and performance targets.
* Ability to listen, empathise, and problem-solve to support customers through challenging financial situations.
* Solid grasp of relevant legislation including the Bankruptcy Act, Privacy Act, and National Consumer Credit Code.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise effectively.
