About the role
As a NDIS Support Coordinator, you will:
* Develop trusted, positive and professional relationships with participants and their support workers.
* Support individuals and their nominated stakeholders, to understand the supports in their plan and navigate the service system, identifying and accessing mainstream, community, informal and funded support
* Negotiate services and rates, in accordance with NDIS guidelines and an individuals budget
* Develop service agreements and create electronic service bookings
* Strengthen and enhance participants capacity to coordinate supports, self-direct and manage supports and participate in the community
* Be the key contact for service issues, complaints, major changes and plan reviews
* Case note activity, monitor individual outcomes and satisfaction with service provision and review expenditure
* Attend immediately to any complaints submitted by participants and work collaboratively with teammates to resolve any concerns and/or conflicts
Pay and conditions
Permanent part-time position
Hourly pay rates range from:$36 - $53 p/h
Classification level and pay rate are assessed and determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capability.

We're looking for someone who:
* Supports NDIS participants to understand their plans and help them connect with services to improve their quality of life
* Practices Client-centred practice
* Has knowledge of service providers, support options, and community networks available for people with disabilities
* Can apply a sense of cultural competence – being aware of cultural sensitivities and respecting cultural differences
Qualifications and experience
* Relevant qualification in human services, social work, community services, or a related field, or working towards
* Experience in child protection, family support, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community services is desirable
* Willingness to undertake intensive training in child safety legislation, policies, and procedures
Training and support
Entry-level practitioners will receive intensive training in child safety legislation, policies, procedures, and REFOCUS practice. Ongoing supervision, mentoring, and professional development are core to this role.

* Criminal history check
* Ability to meet REFOCUS compliance and reporting requirements
* Current Drivers Licence (minimum green P's)
* Ability to work within the 10 Child Safe Standards
