AOD Counsellor – Fixed Term (to 30 June, with potential extension)
Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) is seeking a passionate and qualified AOD Counsellor to join our PHN Step Thru Care program, supporting individuals and families experiencing alcohol and other drug concerns in our rural community.
This is a fixed-term position until 30 June, with the potential for extension, based at our new, state-of-the-art hospital.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Provide counselling and therapeutic support to clients with substance use issues
* Complete intake assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
* Facilitate therapy sessions, crisis interventions and referrals
* Maintain accurate and timely client documentation
About You
You will have:
* Relevant AOD qualifications, including core competencies
* Strong communication, empathy and engagement skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* An organised, reliable approach and commitment to quality care
