Job Title: Medicinal Cannabis Nurse - Onsite
Location: One Health Clinics, Cairns
Total Veteran Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medicinal Cannabis Nurse to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This is an exciting in-clinic role working from the One Health Clinic in beautiful Cairns.

Responsibilities:
* Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for patients with complex health needs in a face to face, clinic setting.
* Facilitate the smooth transition of patients into the Total Veteran Healthcare pain management program through patient education, support and reassurance during the transition of their care.
* Collaborate closely Medicinal Cannabis Doctors & multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Delivering quality continuity of patient care.
* Completing consultations and risk assessments of people with chronic diseases, formulating treatment plans, and assisting in setting treatment goals.
* Educating patients on the use of medicinal cannabis and if required – appropriate medical devices.
* Assisting patients with appropriate medication titration dosages.
* Providing gold standard holistic care and critical thinking skills.
* Triage medical enquiries, conduct pre-assessments and provide medical advice with an efficient, yet compassionate, safety-first approach.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain current knowledge of best practices and industry standards
Things that will Set you up for success:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
* Experience with medicinal cannabis (highly regarded)
* Experience with Best Practice software (highly regarded)
* 2-3 years+ General Practice nursing experience (highly regarded)
* Chronic Disease Management (highly desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
* A commitment to delivering gold standard patient-centred care and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
* An understanding of Medicare and DVA (highly regarded)
