The Communications Group is committed to providing high quality, client focused service in a call centre environment, in response to calls for assistance from members of the public across Queensland. We play a vital role in assisting the frontline officer in the community safe.

In your role as Training and Development Officer you will be responsible for developing, delivering and supporting specific training and development programs for the Communications Group.

Your Key Accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:


* Conduct needs analysis in conjunction with Communications Group management to determine training requirements of Communications Group staff and contribute to the development of strategies to meet these requirements.
* Develop and deliver training and development programs in accordance with policies, best practices, procedures and in support of improved professional standards.
* Undertake assessment of staff and prepare reports based on these assessments.
* Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of training policies, best practices, procedures and standards.
* Undertake the assessment and evaluation of internal training and development programs.
* Establish and maintain information management and other administrative systems to monitor the training and assessment of staff.
* Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external clients and stakeholders in order to identify efficiencies, consistency and enhance service delivery outcomes relating to education and training.

Role Requirements

Qualification
* While there are no mandatory requirements for this role possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education would be highly regarded.

Other
* Although this role is non-shift, there will occasionally be a requirement to work afternoon (2pm-10pm) shifts - in these instances shift penalties will apply. Please note there may also be occasions where travel to Brisbane for training is required.
