Job Title: Training Officer
Enhance the skills and knowledge of law enforcement professionals in various roles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver practical training, including firearms instruction, to police officers and other clients.
* Apply adult education methodologies relevant to operational skills training programs and internal policies.
* Lead and support staff, assess program participants, and prepare reports based on these assessments.
* Plan, facilitate, and review the delivery and assessment of education and training programs.
* Liaise with law enforcement agencies to develop effective working relationships.
* Contribute to course curricula improvement by conducting research, evaluation, and development.
* Maintain information management systems to monitor and record training and assessment.
Requirements:
* Hold an Open "C" class licence.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Formal qualifications in Assessment and Training (e.g., Certificate IV or higher).
Additional Requirements:
* Complete all relevant operational skills and tactics courses if not already qualified.
* Pass a baseline hearing assessment and undergo yearly hearing tests.
* Undergo a baseline blood level test prior to commencing firearms activities.
Applications remain current for 12 months.
