**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**

**The Role**
Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing a team to provide enabling and coordination capability to the Workplace Relations Group. The Strategic Consultation Team and Consultation Coordination teams work with teams across the Workplace Relations Group to facilitate effective consultation and engagement with external stakeholders on the delivery of the Government's workplace relations policy objectives.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 may include:
- Managing the Strategic Consultation Team and/or Consultation Coordination Team to map and plan consultation and ongoing engagement with stakeholders through both new and established consultative mechanisms
- Development of tools or products that enable oversight of consultative processes across the WR Group
- Leading research and policy advice to support the development of ongoing engagement and consultative planning materials
- Leading a team to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding coordination of consultative, negotiation and engagement processes for complex and sensitive reforms
