Richmond Henty is on the hunt for a Cook to join our kitchen dedicated, hard working kitchen team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head Chef you will be responsible for daily kitchen operations which include cooking and preparing meals, maintaining a clean kitchen and working within all Food Safety Program and Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience
- Attained food handler’s certification
- Knowledge and food safety requirements is an advantage
- Requires Certificate III or IV in commercial cookery. 3 years of working experience may substitute the formal qualification.
The successful candidate will be able to display:
- Experience working in a large pub / bistro style kitchen
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills and motivated work ethic
- Ability to understand and comply with internal food policies and procedures and
- consistently meet expected food quality standards
- Understanding of best practise food and handling requirements
Tasks & Duties of the role will include:
- Engaging in cooking during service times
- Baking, butchering and food preparation duties
- Ordering and stock control
- Following foods safety and HACCP guidelines
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
Award rates to commensurate experience will be offered to the right person. Must be able to work a rotating roster of split shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
