Maintenance Person - Lincoln Grove Retirement Village, Port Lincoln SA
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Person to join our welcoming and friendly team at Lincoln Grove Retirement Village on a Full Time basis.
This role will allow you to utilise your knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
This role is integral in ensuring that our residents are at the centre of everything we do, by ensuring exceptional professional and respectful service to those who call our beautiful village home.
The position
* Reporting to the Manager - Facilities (Property Services), you will be responsible for:
* Maintaining buildings, plant, equipment, gardens and grounds
* Tasks such as adjusting doors and windows, replacing tap washers, changing light globes, patching and painting, minor gardening & irrigation work, and gutter cleaning
* Attending to all reactive and preventative maintenance across the villages
* Coordinating trades and services to ensure repairs occur in a timely manner
* Monitoring pest control
* Following all Workplace, Health and Safety standards and reporting any safety or security concerns
We're on the lookout for someone with:
* General all-round handyman / maintenance experience (carpentry, small plumbing like tap washing, paint touch ups and roofing)
* Great communication skills
* Trade Certificate or equivalent experience (desirable)
* Experience in working within the retirement industry an advantage
* Full Open Drivers Licence
* National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
* First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
