An exciting prospect for a Senior Financial Analyst with strong experience in inventory control to join a leading retailer in Sydney. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for analytics and senior level business partnering. This role will be important in maintaining controls, but also contributing to the company's long term strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead inventory forecasting, budgeting, and reconciliation processes across systems, ensuring accuracy and control.
- Manage stock adjustments, including damages and inventory counts, and support periodic stocktake execution (hands on end to end experience)
- Deliver clear financial insights and reporting to senior leadership, supporting both operational and strategic decisions.
- Strong business partnering across departments and provide ad hoc analysis to drive strategic decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and global partners to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to streamline inventory control processes and systems, recommending enhancements for greater efficiency and impact.
About You
- Qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with experience in inventory planning and working closely with business teams.
- Naturally curious with a growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and embrace new ideas.
- Strong with numbers and able to turn data into practical insights that support decision-making.
- Confidence in using reporting tools like Power BI; experience with other systems is a bonus but not essential.
- Comfortable dealing with uncertainty and able to make clear, thoughtful decisions when information is limited.
