Accounting Professional Sought
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our firm in Melbourne. This role offers exposure to overall accounting and tax experience, along with opportunities to mentor junior staff and work directly with partners.
* Prepare year-end financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
* Handle accounting and bookkeeping tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll review.
* Manage compliance lodgements such as BAS, IAS, GST, and FBT.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
* Provide support for Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks software.
* Review and mentor graduate/junior accountants.
* Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of compliance and advisory services.
* Conduct financial analysis, management reporting, and assist in tax planning and advisory.
* At least 2 years' accounting experience with at least 1 year in an Australian accounting firm.
* Degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA (completed or in progress) is highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping, AP/AR, compliance, and financial reporting.
* Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin/Chinese (spoken and written).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients.
