Synopsis:
Art Activation Officer
- **Salary Range Band 6 $93,459 - $101,873 per annum pro rata plus 11% Super**:

- **Part-time (0.6 FTE) ongoing position**:

- **Located at St Kilda Town Hall with adaptable working arrangements possible.**

**About the Organisation**

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. **About the Role**

The Art Activation Officer plays a critical role within the Arts, Festivals and Events unit, engaging the community with a focus on public art, arts activation and the Carlisle Street Arts Space at the St Kilda Town Hall.

Part of the Visual Arts & Activations team, this role will work to facilitate and develop arts based activations, working with the community and creative industries to contribute to a vibrant, thriving program of arts programs across the city.

**Duties**:

- Advise on public art projects and opportunities
- Facilitate and support strategic and statutory processes for public art
- Coordinate activity within the Carlisle Street Arts Space
- Coordinate art activation in public space throughout the municipality
- Provide internal advice on public art, the CSAS and art activation

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in public art or art activation in a government setting
- Experience in artist selection or curation, or public selection processes
- Experience in cultural programming and event delivery
- Highly developed communication skills
- Effective time and project management skills
