We are seeking an experienced and hands-onProject Manager to join ournewly established Transformation Office on afixed-term basis. This is an approved role aligned to our controlled recruitment process and reports directly to theGeneral Manager – Transformation Office .
About the Role
Reporting to theGeneral Manager – Transformation Office, the Project Manager provides end-to-end leadership for complex, organisation-wide projects that support Southern Cross Care Tasmania's strategic objectives.
This role goes beyond stakeholder coordination, you will actively lead project delivery, establish robust project management disciplines, manage risk and governance, and work closely with technical and business teams to embed change successfully.
Working across the organisation, you will collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Process Architects, and operational leaders to deliver integrated systems and transformation initiatives, while ensuring smooth transition into business-as-usual operations and building internal project capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading end-to-end delivery of transformation projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality outcomes are achieved
* Establishing and maintaining project governance, documentation, reporting, and controls
* Engaging effectively with business units, executives, external vendors, and partners to ensure alignment and successful outcomes
* Identifying, assessing, and proactively managing project risks, issues, and dependencies
* Collaborating with change and business leads to embed new processes, systems, and ways of working
* Managing vendor and contractor performance to ensure delivery quality and knowledge transfer
* Providing clear, timely reporting to the Transformation Office and senior leadership
* Contributing to continuous improvement of project management frameworks and practices across the organisation
About You
You are a confident and capable Project Manager who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You are comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels and bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, or a related discipline
* Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or similar) preferred
* Extensive hands-on experience delivering complex, whole-of-organisation projects in a transformation or change environment
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and change management principles
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments
Desirable Experience
* Experience in aged care, health, public hospitals, or community services
* Demonstrated experience leading ICT or enterprise system transformation projects
* Exposure to HRIS, payroll, rostering, or enterprise application implementations
* Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments within health or aged care
