The Role
Reporting to the People Systems Manager, the People Systems Configuration Specialist is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimising people systems, with a strong focus on HRIS. This role enables seamless employee experiences and efficient People & Culture operations by supporting end-to-end people and payroll processes. Acting as a key link between HR, IT, and business stakeholders, you will translate operational needs into system functionality, ensure data integrity and compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
You Will Provide
* Configuration and ongoing maintenance of Dayforce across Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, and Talent modules
* Design and management of complex system configurations including pay rules, workflows, security roles, and organisational structures
* Strong governance to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with Australian payroll and Fair Work requirements
* Management of system updates, releases, and changes through structured testing and change control processes
* Collaboration with People & Culture teams and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into system solutions
* Support for change management activities including communications and training materials
* Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capability, stability, and user experience

About You
* Proven experience working with HR systems such as Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM (Dayforce highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of HRIS configuration across payroll, workforce management, and HR modules
* Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, and Fair Work requirements
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
* Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Excel, or system dashboards
* Demonstrated experience in managing system changes, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
