* Project types: road, rail, drainage, civil, energy, and general infrastructure
* Project values: from small works through to major projects up to ~$50M
* Locations: Darling Downs, regional Queensland, statewide, and interstate asrequired
* Full project lifecycle: ensuring continual improvement from tender through delivery

ABOUT THE ROLE

We areseekingan experienced Pre-ContractsManager to lead our Estimating and Business Development functions and play a strategic role in the growth of theorganisation. Based in Toowoomba (or Brisbane by arrangement), you will provideexecutive levelleadership across estimating, tendering, sales, and client engagement.

You will be accountable for:

Strategic Leadership

* Lead, mentor, and develop the Estimating, Sales&Business Development teams across Toowoomba and Brisbane.
* Build ahigh-performanceculture with strong systems, processes, and continuous improvement.
* Guidepreparation of competitive tenders for civil, rail, government, and renewable energy projects.
* Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents toidentifyscope, risk, and opportunity.
* Develop and overseepreparation offirst principlesestimates, quantity takeoffs, and construction programs.
* Strengthenlong-termpartnerships with infrastructure asset owners, constructors, and maintainers.
* Support business development initiatives to grow our footprint across QLD and beyond.

Collaboration Across the Project Lifecycle

* Coordinate site inspections, supplier engagement, subcontractor pricing, and delivery team handovers.
* Work closely with Project Managers to feed lessons learned back into tendering and strategy.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring:

* Relevant experience in civil construction in regional Queensland
* Strong capability in first-principlesestimating
* Experience in bid management
* Proven leadership across multidisciplinary teams
* Enthusiasm, initiative, and a valuedriven mindset
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
* Experience with estimating/planning systems (Expert Estimationadvantageous)
