Family Violence Specialist
Support women and children who are experiencing or have experienced family violence in a role that requires understanding the complex nature of this issue.
The successful candidate will provide crisis intervention and casework, assessing risk and safety while addressing other support needs identified with the client.
This position involves building relationships with government and other stakeholders at a systemic and individual planning level to ensure effective service delivery.
Job Requirements
About You
you hold a degree qualifications in social work, psychology or related discipline with a minimum two years' experience working in the family violence sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to reflect and analyse complex problems and provide workable solutions.
A comprehensive understanding of the family violence service system is essential for this role including knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Risk Assessment Framework.

Current Victorian Driver's Licence is required.

Position Details
0.8 – 1.0 FTE full time or part time position is available.
Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday.
Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises.
