Recruitment Business Partner – Engineering Major Road & Rail Infrastructure Projects. At UGL, our Major Projects team works across some of the most significant rail and road infrastructure programs in the country. From complex tunnel and station builds to large-scale rail systems, signalling upgrades and multi-state transport developments, our engineering teams are delivering projects that shape how Australia moves. With a strong pipeline of work across QLD, NSW and VIC including Cross River Rail, Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail, and the North East Link Tunnel project, we're growing our capability. About the role
We're looking for a hands-on, relationship-driven Recruitment Business Partner to support end-to-end hiring across engineering and project delivery roles within UGL's Major Projects division. Based out of our North Sydney head office, this role is fast-paced, interesting and full of variety. You'll partner with Project Directors, Design and Engineering Managers and delivery teams across several high-profile joint ventures including CPB, Acciona and others, helping them secure the talent they need as projects move through design, delivery and commissioning phases. You'll work closely with our broader P&C team, and you'll have plenty of scope to bring fresh sourcing ideas, influence workforce planning conversations and build strong talent pipelines for critical engineering skill sets. Key responsibilities
* Manage end‐to‐end recruitment for engineering and technical project roles, including Electrical Engineers, Site Engineers, Signalling Engineers, Supervisors, Quality Advisors and other project delivery positions.
* Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard‐to‐fill positions.
* Use creative sourcing strategies, community outreach, social media, referrals and more.
* Partner closely with Project Directors and leaders to understand workforce needs and offer honest, practical advice.

* Experience recruiting engineering based roles, ideally within major projects, construction, rail or heavy industry environments.
* Solid sourcing capability for niche and hard‐to‐fill roles.
* Confidence partnering with project directors, engineering managers and senior stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
* A proactive, solutions‐focused approach to recruitment.
