General Manager

Multi-Site Tourism & Hospitality Operation | Remote WA

A rare opportunity is available for a high-calibre General Manager to lead a large, multi-site tourism and hospitality portfolio in remote Western Australia.

This role is suited to an experienced, operationally focused leader who thrives in remote, seasonal, and highly complex environments. The operation spans luxury accommodation, boutique tourism experiences, and high-volume hospitality, requiring a hands‑on General Manager with strong commercial and people leadership capability.


The Portfolio

The role has full accountability across several operating sites, each with different guest profiles, service models, and workforce requirements, including :

* A premium, low‑volume luxury offering with high service expectations
* A boutique lodge and tourism experience combining accommodation, food & beverage, and day visitors
* A large-scale, high-volume operation incorporating accommodation, food & beverage, retail, tourism activities, infrastructure, and staff village services

Across peak season, the portfolio employs circa 120-130 staff, with significant seasonal ramp‑up and ramp‑down cycles.


The Role

Reporting at a senior level, the General Manager has end‑to‑end responsibility for commercial performance, safety, workforce planning, guest experience, and asset management across all sites.


Key responsibilities

* Full P&L ownership across the portfolio
* Leadership of a large, seasonal, multi-disciplinary workforce
* Oversight of safety, compliance, and risk in a remote operating environment
* Delivery of consistent guest experiences across luxury, boutique, and high-volume offerings
* Infrastructure, logistics, and asset management oversight
* Engagement with local communities and stakeholders
* Developing capable leadership teams and driving retention in a remote location

This is a hands‑on, visible leadership role requiring regular movement between sites and direct involvement in day-to-day operational decision-making.


About You

We are seeking a credible, operational General Manager with experience beyond traditional single-site or city-based leadership roles.


Essential experience

* Senior leadership experience in remote, regional, or complex multi-site operations
* Demonstrated P&L accountability at scale
* Leadership of large, seasonal or transient workforces
* Strong capability in safety, risk, and compliance
* Proven ability to live and lead effectively in remote environments


Highly regarded

* Luxury hospitality or premium tourism background
* Experience engaging with Indigenous communities or local stakeholders
* Exposure to infrastructure-heavy or asset-intensive operations
* Multi-site General Manager or Operations Director experience


Personal attributes

* Calm, decisive, and resilient
* Highly credible with operational teams
* Commercially minded and people‑first
* Visible, accountable, and hands‑on


What This Role Is Not

* City-based GMs without remote or regional experience
* Candidates seeking a predominantly strategic or corporate role
* Leaders unwilling to be operationally accountable
* Applicants treating remote living as a short‑term arrangement


Package & Lifestyle

* $140,000 - $170,000 + super
