Exact Contracting are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their remote civil construction and mining projects in the Northern Territory.
This role will be a site-based workshop position, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
* Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of maintenance schedules;
* Driving operational efficiencies;
* Providing effective leadership and supervision through on-the-ground presence, direction, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals;
* Inspiring and encouraging others towards goal achievement;
* Conducting scheduled employee appraisals, and preparing corrective and development plans as necessary;
* Resolving problems and conflicts within the crew;
* Carrying out servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, fault finding, and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
Role Requirements:
* Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
* Current driver's license;
* Experience in supervisory/management roles;
* Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
* Experience maintaining Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear;
* Solid understanding of mobile plant and crushing operations in civil/mining industries;
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (e.g., MEX);
* Effective planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
* Strong communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors;
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
* Willingness to work in remote locations;
* Hands-on approach.
