About us Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative is a proudly Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, incorporated in 1982 and based on Peek Whurrong Country in Warrnambool. We deliver a wide range of holistic community health and social support programs to Aboriginal community members and other residents in Warrnambool and surrounding areas.
We work in close partnership with local government, health services, and other Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations across the Western District of Victoria. In 2024, we acquired a major new health and community facility, bringing our bulk-billed primary health clinic and community programs under one roof, with dental services to come and capacity to grow. This reflects our financial strength, cultural leadership, and commitment to community wellbeing.

What you’ll bring We are seeking a values-driven leader who brings:
Executive or senior leadership experience in health, community or not-for-profit services
Governance, financial management and strategic planning expertise
Knowledge of and respect for Aboriginal culture, kinship and community needs
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
A clear commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and cultural safety
