ManTed Heavy Repairs Pty. Ltd is an Australian-owned, family-operated workshop. We are currently seeking a highly experienced General Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and maintenance to production teams and appropriate subcontractors. This role will be Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work some Saturdays as required. Primary Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshooting breakdowns
- Execute 'planned maintenance' activities as well as responding to breakdowns
- Perform production welding, fabrication, adjustments and repairs as directed.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance tasks are completed 100% on time
- Ensure adherence to safety management policies & procedures.

- Operating equipment and carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carrying out production requirements as shown on Job Sheets and Manufacturing
Work Instructions.
- Assemble mechanical and structural parts of the build
- Following detailed installation procedures and checklists
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximise plant and equipment availability
- Setup and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools
- Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments
- Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together
- Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled
- Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required
