Your new role
The Technician is directly responsible for performing operational activities for the maintenance, repair and overhaul. The Technician is responsible for undertaking inspection work as required and ensuring technical documentation is appropriately followed and completed.
* Perform a range of tasks including mechanical assembly, parts cleaning, surface preparation and repair
* Adequate communication and literacy skills (verbal and written)
* Understanding of relevant maintenance work practices for aviation parts and components
* Maintain competence and authorisation within the scope for individual approvals
* Ability to perform maintenance tasks according to task instructions to the standard specified
* CASA / EASA understanding desirable
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in an Aerospace/Aviation or Technician environment with preference to a component overhaul and repair operation climateExperience in recording technical documentationExcellent understanding of mechanical systems, including understanding and interpreting complex technical drawings; transmissions and engines a distinct advantageKnowledge of maintenance techniquesAustralia Citizen with National Police ClearanceBachelors degree or Trade Certificate - Engineering Aeronautics, Technical discipline or equivalent.
