Our Fleet Management team is seeking a marine surveyor to join us in Melbourne. A qualified marine surveyor will be part of a highly skilled team surveying ships across Australian and New Zealand Ports.
The tasks may include:
* Ensuring work or duties are performed according to rules, regulations, instructions, guidelines, and quality requirements.
* Performing classification surveys and audits as per procedure and guidelines, liaising with Port and Flag states as necessary.
* Maintaining clients' business confidentiality.
* Supervising work and ensuring it is carried out efficiently and economically.
* Communicating important information for our reputation.
* Exhibiting customer-focused behavior and acting as a technical resource for customer questions.

The ideal candidate has:
* A Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
* A good understanding of maritime and offshore business with 5 years of experience in the maritime and classification industry.
* Flexibility in traveling and willingness to take unscheduled job calls.
* Strong customer service orientation and record of managing maritime clients.
* Good understanding of class and statutory requirements.
* Proven ability to effectively manage digitalization and new business opportunities.
* Team player with ability to work independently.
* Physical abilities necessary for regular classification functions.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
