Support Worker Role

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our clinical team to provide support to family members or carers in the network of the consumer.
Key Responsibilities
* To minimise the impact of complex mental health issues on carers and significant others of consumers within the service.
* To support the engagement of carers, families and significant others with the service to enhance the process of recovery for consumers experiencing serious suicidal ideation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* A personal lived experience of caring for a family member or someone with mental health challenges.
* Highly regarded qualifications include Certificate IV in Peer Work, Certificate IV in Mental Health, Intentional Peer Support training.
* Experience working in a peer support role.
* Experience of the public or private mental health system.
* Experience facilitating family/carer support groups.
