Remuneration: $42.58 - $56.65 per hour + Superannuation

What You'll Be Doing
* Provide expert advice and clinical leadership to support the coordination of integrated responses for children under the age of criminal responsibility who display problematic or harmful sexual behaviours as part of the Safe Wayz program.
* Lead the coordination and delivery of trauma informed and cultural safe primary prevention initiatives across the Far West LHD.
* Provide cultural consultation, cultural advice and cultural supervision to clinicians working with Aboriginal children, young people, adults and their families who have experienced violence, abuse and neglect across the Far West LHD.

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, Aboriginal Mental Health, behavioural sciences, or Advance Diploma of Aboriginal Specialist Trauma Counsellor and/or Cert IV in Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Work and relevant equivalent work experience.
* Demonstrated ability to create Aboriginal community connections, engagement and collaboration to affect outcomes with an understanding of intergenerational trauma, contextual and causal factors for violence, abuse and neglect and the principles of cultural safety.
* Demonstrated understanding and skills in child centred, family focussed counselling, support and case management to address problematic or harmful sexual behaviours with young children and their carers.
* Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive and trauma informed counselling services to individuals and their families, which are of high quality and in line with policy guidelines and directives.
* Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework governing child protection in NSW.
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills in combination with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a small therapeutic team.
* Demonstrated experience in the provision of specialist clinical / cultural advice, review, consultation, supervision and mentorship and cultural supervision and professional education.
* Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
