This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The Role

The successful applicant should ideally be dedicated and highly motivated educator who possess the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs within the Science learning area to meet the needs of our students. The successful applicant will ideally have excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and particularly in Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Physics and Chemistry. The ability to deliver content in an engaging manner, the use of excellent interpersonal and communication skills and contributing as a highly effective team member will be highly regarded.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be highly reflective of their teaching practices, committed to evidence-based decision making and committed to the development of the whole student. Experience with Gifted and Talented students and the ability to effectively differentiate for both academic extension and Students at Educational Risk (SAER) will be highly valued.

Duncraig SHS offers a wide range of extra-curricular programs and opportunities for students and applicants who demonstrate a history and/or passion for being involved in important complementary enrichment programs should apply.

A familiarity with online teaching and learning platforms such as SEQTA or Compass will be well regarded. .
