The Opportunity
As a General Hand you will ensure Carrington’s buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, visitors and staff. We currently have a full time opportunity. As part of the Maintenance team, you will support facilities maintenance across the whole Carrington Campus, including:
Responsibilities
* Maintenance – carry out basic scheduled or reactive maintenance & repairs of buildings, plant & roads
* Logistics – support waste & linen services, gardening team, and removalist activities for residents & business needs
* Driving – buggies, bus, towing trailers & ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard of presentation.
Support the Hotel Services & Residential Aged Care teams to deliver high quality services for our residents
About You
Essential Criteria:
* Similar experience providing property/building services &/or grounds maintenance.
* Take pride in your work & willingness to be hands-on
* Commitment to excellent customer service
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team & independently.
* Understanding of safety and effective work practices.
* Functional verbal & written communication
* Current NSW driver’s license
* Right to work in Australia
* Completion of a pre-employment assessment and a National Criminal History check clearance to be completed during recruitment
Desirable
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Light rigid driver's license or higher preferred
Current qualifications in the elevated working platforms (EWP) or forklift license (LF)
