Job Title: Health, Safety and Training Professional
The successful candidate will lead safety strategies and initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices. This includes influencing peers to achieve a vision of every safe day, implementing project safety management plans through clear focus and effective leadership, motivating people to own health & safety across all levels of the project, developing and ensuring the effectiveness of the health & safety system, and leading the safety culture on site to ensure the safety of all persons on site.
As the Health, Safety and Training Manager, you will oversee a team of professionals ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, and in line with legislation. You will also manage projects and supervise staff effectively.
* A minimum of a diploma in OHS with tertiary qualifications in safety or a similar field is highly regarded.
* At least five years' experience in a similar role with extensive experience in an operational mining environment is necessary.
* Extensive experience working with workers' compensation, risk management and incident investigations is essential.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial.
* Ability to influence and implement strategic and cultural change is required.
* Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite are necessary for success in this role.
