Somerville House is a day and boarding school for girls established in 1899, providing exceptional education for students from Prep through to Year 12, with co-education Pre-Prep offering. Somerville House students have the opportunity to participate in an extensive academic, sporting and cultural program, while receiving high standards in personal care and individual attention within the School community.

The Role
Building on Somerville House's continued success and strong engagement across co-curricular programs, we are seeking an exceptional Dean of Co-Curricular Programs to join our dynamic and evolving team on a full-time, fixed-term contract.
This position will commence from Term 3, 2026 (or earlier as negotiated depending on the successful candidate) initially for a 12-month contract. As a valuable member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in delivering on the School's Strategic Intent, enhancing systems and processes whilst ensuring consistency across the wider Co-Curricular programs.
With oversight across Sport, Music and Performing Arts and Cultural and Community Activities you will cultivate strong relationships, foster collaboration, strengthen stakeholder engagement and community spirit with a genuine passion and love for the co-curricular opportunities available at Somerville House.
Our Successful Candidate Will
* Have proven leadership experience as a Dean or Director of Co-Curricular across sport, music or performing arts.
* Understand the unique needs of girls in an educational setting and engaging in with them to ignite passion for co-curricular programs.
* A willingness to mentor and inspire staff who are passionate about co-curricular programs.
* Proven experience in leading change, innovation and continuous improvement.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold Queensland College of Teachers' (QCT) Registration and a higher degree in management and/or education.
