Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is seeking to recruit an experienced consultant to work in a team of engineering consultants specialising in acoustics. The role will suit a candidate with more than 10 years' experience. The position is based in Alexandria, Sydney, NSW.
Vipac is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides vibration, acoustics and other services to building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, mining and commercial clients.
About You
We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant, with an eagerness to learn:
* A degree or post graduate qualifications in audio engineering, mechanical engineering or similar science degree;
* The role will involve work in a broad spectrum of technical areas;
* At least 10 years industry experience is preferred, with experience in acoustics;
* Familiarity with proprietary instrumentation and commercial software is important;
* Competent report writing skills;
* Willingness to travel for field work and flexibility with working hours;
* Strong communication skills; and
* A team player who is able to work independently when required.
Project work will involve:
* Performing acoustic analysis, modelling, problem solving on a range of projects.
* Conduct field work as required with the use of our vast range of equipment
* Prepare acoustic reports for external clients, with a view to meeting technical and budgetary requirements
* Proven project management experience would be valued.
