Unit: Coronary Care & Cardio Thoracic Unit (CCU/CTU).
Responsibilities
* Providing individual care for patients who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing adverse cardiac events.
* Delivering high‐quality clinical nursing services and associated programs to meet evolving patient needs.
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the journey and continuum of care.
* Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management.
* Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with quality and risk management, staffing within budget.
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills for professional growth.
* Working across all shifts, predominantly night‐shift focused.
* Support the Cardiac Transition Program if not already completed.
* Planning and coordinating patient care; competency in clinical problem solving.
* Maintaining accurate clinical and assessment data.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse registered with AHPRA.
* Experience as a cardiac nurse – essential.
* Critical Care Certificate or working towards – desirable, not essential.
* Availability to work all shifts.
* Strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to role‐model Mater values.
* Competency in written and verbal communication.
