Prevention Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prevention Officer to join our team in Port Hedland. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about reducing alcohol and other drug-related harms in the community.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, non-government organisations, and community groups. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based prevention strategies.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Liaising with government agencies and community groups to progress community action on AOD prevention initiatives
* Developing and implementing evidence-based prevention strategies to reduce AOD-related harms at a local and regional level
* Maintaining accurate and timely records of AOD prevention activities
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the impacts of drugs and alcohol on individuals, families, and communities, as well as experience in developing and delivering training programs. They will also have excellent administrative and computer skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a part-time position working 38 hours per fortnight, with salary packaging benefits and access to a confidential counselling service available.
