Overview

As a member of the healthcare team, led by the Chief Medical Officer, the OB/Gyn Physician plays a vital role in achieving organizational goals. Each clinical team member participates in performance measurement and patient satisfaction assessments, with opportunities to contribute to improvement plans through regular QA meetings and action plan development.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate all aspects of patient care within their specialty, including inpatient care, medical record maintenance, follow-up, and coordination of specialty consultations.

Serve as a major medical resource within their expertise to other CJMC providers, including supervising nurse practitioners and acting as a medical consultant, while staying current in their specialty and sharing knowledge.

Share responsibilities with other CJMC providers as designated, including participating in educational, teaching, and community activities, and contributing to in-service programming and CME activities.

Overall responsibility for patient care, including health maintenance, disease management, inpatient care, consultation coordination, supervision of nurse practitioners, participation in on-call duties, and developing quality assurance programs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

* MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
* State of NJ medical license.
* CDS and DEA licenses issued by the State of NJ.
* Board Certified or Board Eligible.
* Current CPR/BLS certification.
* At least 2 years of experience in the field preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
* Orientation toward primary care delivery.
* Experience in ambulatory care, healthcare team delivery, and inner-city populations preferred.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
