Stantec are expanding our Economics service offering across Australia and New Zealand. Due to this expansion, we are seeking a driven and talented Economist to be a part of this exciting phase.
About the role:
As an Economist you will support economic led multi-disciplinary projects through research, writing and economic modelling, and assist with preparing proposals and coordinating proposal inputs from other disciplines.
This role will see you directly supporting the Economic Lead / Project Manager in successfully delivering projects along with the following:
- \tFacilitate economic analysis and modelling.
- \tProvide input into economic assessments and appraisals, business cases, feasibility studies, and strategy development.
- \tMaintain a good understanding of policy and strategy that drives economic growth.
- \tBe a conduit between clients, technical delivery leaders and Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery at the maximum value for clients.
- \tBuild a solid working knowledge of Government guidance for economic appraisal across ANZ.
- \tDeliver strong written communication and write convincing strategic arguments.
- \tProvide support to the Business Unit Leaders associated with all business sectors in the supply of services relating to the skills and capabilities you bring to the business.
- \tIncrease efficiency and minimise project risk by assisting with project management and delivery.
- \tAssist in developing and nurturing client relationships.
- \tMaintain appropriate technical and professional qualifications.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- \tTertiary qualifications in economics, planning or related degree.
- \tRelevant experience in economic development/ strategy/ economic analysis.
- \tPrior consulting experience is desirable but not essential.
- \tTertiary or industry qualification in data modelling and / or data visualisation desirable but not essential.
