Refrigeration Technician – Air Conditioning Installations
Murtec Services is looking for a Refrigeration technician to join our team delivering high-quality commercial air conditioning installations across Hobart and Southern Tasmania. This role is suited to applicants who are already based in, or near, Hobart and MUST have the right to work in Australia. 3rd/4th year apprentices will also be considered.
The role
You'll be responsible for the installation and commissioning of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including ducted and packaged units, VRF/VRV and associated mechanical services. The position is full time and includes a 9-day working fortnight (weekly pay cycle) with every second friday rostered day off, with overtime available during peak periods.
Key duties include installing and commissioning commercial AC systems, interpreting drawings and specifications, coordinating with builders and other trades on site, fault-finding during commissioning, completing all required documentation and compliance paperwork, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship, housekeeping, and safety at all times.

About you
You're a qualified refrigeration mechanic who takes pride in delivering neat, compliant installations and can work both independently and as part of a team. You are currently living in the Hobart region, or close by, and are available for site work across Southern Tasmania.
Essential requirements include Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, a current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence, a current driver's licence, experience installing and commissioning commercial air conditioning systems, and a strong commitment to safety and workmanship. A construction white card, EWP ticket, or other relevant licences will be highly regarded.
