This is a unique two‑year opportunity to join the Resource & Capability Branch and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of training development across the business.
We're looking for a motivated learning and development professional with a collaborative approach, strong leadership capability, and a proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
This role has primary responsibility for providing advice and architecting, delivering innovative, enterprise-wide, learner-focused training solutions that build workforce capability and support strategic priorities. This role combines advanced instructional design expertise with a high level of proficiency in digital authoring tools, multimedia production and learning technologies to create high-impact, visually compelling and engaging learning experiences.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Lead the design and development of basic to complex, enterprise-scale learning initiatives aligned with business and strategic needs, to influence organisational culture and strengthen technical competence and set overall direction of the creation of learning materials.
* Provide expert guidance and advice to business in relation to instructional design methodologies (eg ADDIE) to create learner-centred, outcome-driven programs that align with business capabilities
* Lead the design and development of engaging learning solutions that align with adult learning principles and organisational values, including experience in designing content to align with Disability Diversity and Inclusion frameworks
* Lead the establishing of an evaluation framework to measure learning impact and return on investment
* Use authoring tools (eg., Articulate including Rise 360 and Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to produce interactive and visually appealing e-learning modules
* Stay up to date and champion the adoption of emerging learning technologies and digital innovations
Who we are looking for: We are looking for suitable candidates who hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, qualification in Instructional Design (or equivalent) and have extensive experience designing and developing learning solutions at an enterprise level. You will also require:
* Extensive experience in adult learning principles, including experience in designing content to align with Disability Diversity and Inclusion frameworks
* Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and graphic design software
* Experience in working with an LMS to administer and report on training
* Experience in a utilities, engineering or safety-critical industry (desirable)
* Knowledge of video production and multimedia content creation (desirable)
