At CSR, we're building a better future together.
We are a team of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, collaborating every day towards a shared purpose: 'Building solutions for a better future'. As a leading Australian Manufacturing business, we are at the forefront of developing innovative, sustainable, and high performing building products and systems.
We put people first and are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive working environment that enables everyone to feel valued, grow and thrive. We provide equal opportunity for everyone and welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities, and life stages.
The opportunity
Help lead our cultural shift in health, safety and environment and drive meaningful change where it counts.
This is an exciting opportunity for a developing (or experienced) WHSE professional who is ready to step into a true business partnering role. You may currently be working as a WHSE Advisor, Coordinator or in a site-based safety role and looking to broaden your experience, influence operational leaders, and grow your career within a large manufacturing business.
You'll support CSR's PGH Bricks & Pavers and broader Exterior Systems manufacturing operations across NSW, with occasional support across QLD sites. This is a hands‐on role where you'll be visible in the field, working alongside operational teams to reduce risk, strengthen capability, and help embed a stronger safety culture across the business.
This is more than a compliance role — it's an opportunity to influence change, coach leaders, and contribute to the ongoing uplift of our WHSE systems and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
* Partnering with operational leaders and frontline teams to embed safe work practices and drive continuous improvement.
* Providing practical WHSE coaching and capability‐building across manufacturing and logistics operations.
* Being active and visible in the field to identify risks, support solutions, and build trust with site teams.
* Supporting critical risk reduction initiatives, including machinery safety, traffic management, Chain of Responsibility, and respirable crystalline silica management.
* Conducting incident investigations and supporting the implementation of preventative actions.
* Assisting with onboarding and training initiatives aimed at reducing new hire injuries and improving safety outcomes.
* Supporting compliance with CSR's SH&E Management System and legislative requirements.
* Building strong working relationships with production, maintenance, logistics teams, HSRs, and site leadership.
About You
You're practical, approachable and motivated to grow. You enjoy being in operational environments and understand that strong safety outcomes come from working alongside the business — not behind a desk.
You're confident engaging with people at all levels, ask good questions, and focus on building solutions that are practical and sustainable.
Ideally, You'll Bring
* 2+ years of WHSE experience within manufacturing, construction, logistics or another high‐risk industrial environment.
* Qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree).
* Exposure to machinery safety, risk assessments, traffic management or Chain of Responsibility principles.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
* Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
* The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
The Following Would Be Highly Regarded
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
* Return‐to‐Work Coordination experience.
* Experience working across multiple sites.
What's In It For You
* Career growth in a dynamic and supportive team.
* Attractive salary and benefits, including access to exclusive discounts and offers and eligibility for STI bonus scheme.[RC1] [AS2]
* Supportive and collaborative culture that fosters innovation and inclusion. You'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who are passionate about their work and committed to helping each other succeed.
* Care and wellbeing offer includes up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, 52 weeks of superannuation payment, and access to an employee assistance program.
* Rewarding career with on‐the‐job learning, development, and upskilling opportunities within and across our brands.
