The Role
Work on hyperscale data centres and critical infrastructure projects at the forefront of AI and cloud technology – delivering precision installations while building a long-term career in one of Australia's fastest-growing sectors.
We're looking for a seasoned, trade-qualified technician with a current ACMA licence and recent data centre experience to support structured cabling works in secure, high-compliance environments. You'll be hands-on across equipment installation, cable routing and dressing, termination, patching and testing, ensuring every rack is delivered to the highest visual and technical standard.
You will
Deliver structured cabling works including fibre and copper installation, precision cable routing and dressing, racking and stacking, patching and fit-off.Maintain exceptional visual standards, ensuring racks are neat, labelled correctly and presented to data centre quality expectations.Interpret drawings, schematics and layouts accurately, plan works methodically and execute without rework.Collaborate with Supervisors, Project Managers and other trades to meet programme requirements in live, secure environments.Complete testing, documentation and labelling with accuracy, ensuring every install meets compliance, safety and client standards.
About You
Current ACMA accreditation (Structured, Coaxial & Fibre Optics) – essential. NSW Electrical Licence highly regarded.Access to your own reliable transport.Hold an NV1 security clearance or be eligible to undertake. Proven experience delivering structured cabling installs across data centre or critical infrastructure environments.Strong knowledge of current data cabling standards, testing requirements and best-practice installation.Safety-first operator who keeps sites tidy and workmanship sharp.Comfortable working in fast-paced, live environments without cutting corners.Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, reliable and takes genuine pride in doing the job properly.
