Our client is a leading international financial institution currently seeking experienced Fund Accountants or Senior Fund Accountants to join their fund administration department in Sydney.
The Senior Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for review and oversight within the fund administration – supporting the service delivery of the Fund Administration team by verifying and reviewing the work of the Fund Accountants, both in-office and abroad. The Senior Fund Accountant will have direct client contact, ultimately responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of client reports in-line with SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
In the review and verification of reporting in line with the SLA targets, the Snr Fund Accountant focusses especially on the generation of:
* Unit Pricing Reports
* Accounting Reports
* Tax Reports
* Resolution of client and/or interdepartmental issues.
This role also entails significant inter-departmental contact, ensuring all functions are operating in an efficient and harmonious manner.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
* Our client is ideally targeting candidates with demonstrated capabilities, 4+ years' experience in senior roles within the fund accounting function, including proficiency in:
o Unit Pricing
o Tax Reporting
o Valuation and Accounting
o Distributions or Taxable Income Calculations
o Tax Returns
* Tertiary qualifications – ideally related to Accounting, Finance, or Economics – and CA/CPA qualifications will be looked upon highly favourably.
* Technical accounting ability and knowledge of the broader functions of the client service suite – fund accounting, reporting, operational risk and compliance requirements.
* Previous exposure and experience with unit pricing and fund accounting systems, such as Hi-Portfolio, PControl, or Dimension.
* Proficiency in MS Suite, namely Word and Excel.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Excellent communication skills are a must – will be responsible for communicating and solving queries for fellow departments and clients.
Remuneration will be dependent on experience, circa $95k-$115k base + super and a discretionary bonus.
