About the role
As a Warehouse team member at Peak Distribution, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art distribution centre. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this full-time position is based in Hume, ACT 2620, and will have you working as part of a dedicated team to receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch a wide range of products to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
* Receiving and unloading goods delivered to the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock counts and condition of items
* Storing goods in designated storage locations, maintaining tidy and organised warehouse conditions
* Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
* Operating warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner
* Assisting with stock takes and inventory management to maintain precise records
* Adhering to all health, safety and quality procedures to ensure a safe working environment
* Supporting the wider warehouse team as required to meet operational targets
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a similar warehouse or distribution role, ideally within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries
* Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and reach trucks
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
* A proactive, safety-conscious approach to your work
* The physical ability to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role
