Primary objective
Contribute to the Business Investment and Advisory team in delivering the Territory Growth Initiative. This initiative drives
economic development by supporting significant private sector projects and high-growth businesses. The team provides
strategic advice, manages key stakeholder relationships, conducts financial due diligence, and administers programs that
offer financial support, including the Collaborative Investment Program, Territory Infrastructure Loans, and the Paspalis Co-
Investment Fund.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Support the promotion of the portfolios successes and increase awareness of the Initiative to potential customers,
including businesses and project proponents, by maintaining marketing materials, providing clear guidance on application
requirements, and engaging with stakeholders.
1. Assist in managing the pipeline of enquiries, prioritising opportunities, and ensuring timely and transparent
communication with applicants.
1. Coordinate reporting requirements, delivering accurate performance metrics and supporting the Investment Committee's
functions.
1. Oversee compliance processes for the Initiative, ensuring adherence to conditions for loans and equity investments.
2. Monitor the loan portfolio, preparing updates, briefings, and papers for senior decision-makers include the independent
Investment Committee.
6. Contribute to the preparation of high-quality reports and briefings on financial and commercial aspects of the Initiative.
7. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and other
stakeholders.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Strong conceptual, analytical, and research skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
2. Proven ability to interpret and critically analyse financial statements, interrogate financial models, and assess scenario
analyses.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and deliver high-
level briefings.
4. Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with experience navigating complex policy or commercial
environments.
5. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes with initiative and attention to detail.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
2. Experience in commercial credit, banking, or government investment environments.
3. Understanding of portfolio management principles.
