About the Role
As a pivotal role in managing core financial processes for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), this position offers the chance to deliver real impact by guiding the AP and AR teams with expert leadership and spearheading continuous improvements that enhance and streamline operations.
While the position encompasses leading and executing core financial operations to ensure accurate, timely and compliant management and the operational oversight and coordination of financial systems for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, the focus will initially be on Payables.

About You
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements and leverage automation tools to drive efficiency is the key to success in this role, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring you can effectively engage with staff involved in finance function activities across the University.
You are a gifted "people leader" who will provide leadership, guidance and supervision to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers, ensuring effective workload distribution, timely processing and resolution of stakeholder queries.
To be successful in this position, you will also demonstrate:
* Relevant professional qualifications, eg CPA, CA (or equivalent).
* Strong transactional accounting skills, with demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and efficiently
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a complex work environment
* Broad knowledge and understanding of risk management and internal controls
* Proficiency using TechnologyOne Financial software (highly desirable).
About Finance and Procurement Services
Finance and Procurement Services assist the University to achieve its goals by providing quality leadership, information, and financial services.
The Finance and Procurement Services team undertakes monthly financial management reporting and forecasting, annual budgets and monitoring performance against these budgets, all regulatory financial reporting, monthly compliance, procurement contracting and functional areas of paying suppliers, receipting revenue and annual financial statements. While this role is based at Bedford Park, we have team members located across all of Flinders sites.
