This is all based in our little nest in the country town of Cooma in the Snowy Mountains of NSW.
The opportunity:
Junior Design Assistant providing support and assistance to the designers and brand managers to create seasonal collections, you will be the ultimate team wingbird that will enjoy the diverse range of tasks and responsibilities outlined below. Part time with flexible days/hours - WFH options
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Working cooperatively with a diverse team and with a network of local and international suppliers
- Assisting the designers during fittings, by proactively managing fit adjustments and alterations through clear communication with manufacturers.
- Maintaining samples - measurements, brand racks, cataloging, labeling, seasonal and core.
- Assist in the creation of technical and specification sheets including design details, accessories, lab dips and measurements.
- Creative skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and hand sketching to assist with têxtile designs, trade sketches and more
- Admin support - Maintaining range books, style logs, cost sheets, purchase orders, barcodes and product data
- Driving Quality Control reports and working across a range of teams, warehouse, marketing, and customer service
- Assisting Photoshoots, organization, steaming, model dressing and events support.
- Creative visual presentation material for key meetings and storyboards
- Assist in reaching timeline goals reflective of the critical path and weekly, monthly and seasonal goals.
- Attention to detail for data entry and administration
- Computer literacy in the Google Workspace and to learn internal systems
- Communication skills, both written and spoken
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to completion

- Have a fashion design qualification or years of experience working in a fashion design environment with concept design, garment specifications, fitting and production management.
