St George Projects Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled tiler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing tiles on walls and floors, ensuring high quality workmanship on all projects.
Benefits
Base annual salary of 82,000 + Super.
Overtime available including weekends.
Task & Responsibilities
* Review overall work; schedule tasks and review set measurements of the work areas.
* Site preparation involving extraction of existing tiling, grout, and glue; smoothing of all surfaces including holes and cracks.
* Preliminary waterproofing of the area to be tiled, and placement of tiles using specified tools including tile‑cutting lasers, cutting wheels, polishing discs, and tabletop cutters to create correct tile shapes to suit abstract areas like surrounding drainage, taps, plumbing, and corners.
* Review and assess tile placement and measurements with correct spaces in between.
* Application of grout and associated steps including cleaning and disposal of excess grout materials.
* Working with different flooring techniques including cement, paving, and other flooring types.
* Extensive knowledge in placement of tiling to create specific patterns and mosaic style application.
Qualification & Experience
* AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on‑the‑job training, or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience in the last five years.
